Company History:
When our C.E.O. Syd, was 18, she received her first Tarot Deck from her mother. The same year she was given her college roommate's dad’s old healing crystals from before he became a surgeon. She awoke to her spiritual self and from there she leapt into learning anything she could about healing herself and others. In 2015, Crystals of Quartz was created as a way for Syd to express her creativity, her deep love of crystal healing, and her passion for helping others on their path in life.
She began with crystal jewelry sold on Etsy and Instagram and gradually moved into crystals themselves. Over the next several years, Syd worked in various environmental careers, but none of them brought her quite the same passion as running her own small business. Syd attended faires, markets, sold online, and hosted Instagram live sales until she had the courage to take her part-time passion full time.
As a person who often felt like a black sheep or an outsider, she dreamed of a safe space where spiritual people from all walks of life could come together for the sake of learning, growing, and healing. It would be a space of non-judgment and openness, a space that felt like home for spiritual seekers.
In October 2019, the physical space of Crystals of Quartz was born in a stand-alone storefront at 61 Windermere Ave in Greenwood Lake New York and in January of 2022, C.O.Q House of Healing was opened at 449 Rt 94 in Vernon New Jersey.
In November of 2021, Syd reached a level of personal healing that allowed her to accept and leave an abusive relationship. From there she healed and blossomed into the truest version of herself. While the House of Healing was born, she was herself, reborn. A part of herself that began to explore what her physical self could do and how much more she could care for herself. She began mountain biking, snowboarding, and hiking, and spent a lot of time outdoors. She became a woman who was not afraid anymore. A woman who knows on an even deeper level what it means to be healthy. From a woman who enjoyed spirituality to escape her real life of horror, she blossomed into a woman with a rich physical, spiritual, and mental life. She wanted to bring that mind, body, and soul connection to her community.
And so Soul & Summit was born. A space for mind, body, and spiritual healing and wellness. She dreamed up a space where all facets of herself could live in alignment and where she could help others heal on an even deeper level. Because the spiritual cannot live alone, it lives alongside our mental and physical health and none can be separated. Soul & Summit will be opening in February of 2025 to bring health & wellness to the minds, bodies, and souls of this lovely community.
